Automated deposition of glue material is commonly used in packing lines and in the wood industry. It is often very critical that the correct amount of glue applied by the nozzle to guarantee the quality of the product.

Traditional 2D methods is not applicable in this application because the volume of the glue applied can't be measured. SICK IVP Ranger 3D-measures the glue string at a speed and accuracy that fulfills the requirements also for the fastest packaging line.
