The CVS4 is a optical character reader vision sensor that can be taught in via a keypad and a colour monitor on it's back side. The basic teach process is simple, and it is also possible to edit each single parameter after teaching.
The sensor can be used to check if the read chracters are correct or not compare to a taught in reference or used to send out the read characters over the serial interface. Further more it is possible to check serial numbers by counting up the reference string with an external trigger.

The small housing with an IP 67 rating and without glass material makes it easy to use in industrial environments.
